Also, felt like reposting my reply to one of the latest fandom secrets:
I'm sorry. I promise that I'm not trying to be special or cool. I'm just being true to myself. Most girls and women, in real life and in fiction, just piss me off. I do not find them interesting or worthy of respect in any way. I feel this way about many men as well, but it seems to occur more often with members of my own gender. There are a few exceptions, and I hang onto those amazing women for dear life. But I'm absolutely not going to force myself to like or appreciate something or someone I don't just for the sake of a cause or a belief. That's not freedom, let alone feminism.

I wish I could sleep. I'm so damn tired, but I always end up staying up late anyway.

Good and Bad
Oct. 23rd, 2008 12:36 amToday was mostly completely and utterly awesome. I got hired at Borders, which is fabulous, and we picked up my engagement ring, which is beautiful. However, I also managed to COMPLETELY FORGET ABOUT the book sale I had volunteered to help out with, thinking it was next week, as well as schedule myself to work during an event I'm supposed to be reading at that actually IS next Wednesday. Man, I suck. I'm awesome, but I suck. *sigh*

Sometimes, when I've had a bad day, I like to go on YouTube and listen to the craziest music I can find. It's usually accompanying anime fanvids, which really only makes it better. There no pick-me-up better than some good crack!

Jul. 26th, 2008 08:19 amSo sometimes Supernatural really does scare the fuck out of me. Admittedly, I scare ridiculously easy. I don't even watch horror movies because I know I'll be sleeping with the lights on for a week after. Most of the time the show isn't that bad, but sometimes the special effects are a little too good. I seem to have a real problem with deformed faces, especially - I'm watching the second episode of season three right now, and little demon girl is fucking terrifying.
But I've found the perfect remedy: sexpollen!fic. Because you just can't be afraid when you're reading about sex pollen. Actually, I think most kinds of crack would do this job - the more cracked-out, the better!

May. 31st, 2008 02:24 am- The LJ journal "home" page finally getting fixed. I don't know about the rest of you, but mine has been screwed up for like two weeks.
- Easy work nights.
- Laughing at other people's pain (ie, watching Bridezillas *grin*).
- AJ and Christian (see icon) continuing to be slashy as all hell.
- And most of all, porn battles and kink memes. Nothing like page after page of concentrated smut!

Jan. 24th, 2008 05:49 pmYou know, I just can't help it. Mpreg freaks me out. I wish I liked it, because there are some great fic writers out there who do mpreg, but I just can't. It's too weird - even in fandoms where it can be explained, like Smallville (alien reproduction!) or Harry Potter (potion gone bad!).

Actually, I take it back. There is one way I can enjoy mpreg - when it's part of crackfic. I remember one Jon/Stephen fic in particular that was hilariously funny...so that's ok. But when people try to make it serious, it makes me shudder - and not in a good way.
On a side note, I stayed up until six AM last night watching Rafa lose his semifinal at the Australian Open to the unseeded Tsonga. I am in the process of ficcing away my disappointment and praying that Federer kicks the kid's ass in the final.
And winter sucks. Hardcore. Most of the time I don't mind Ohio, but I HATE Ohio in winter.

Finally, an awards show gets it right!
Jan. 13th, 2008 10:51 pmCongratulations to Johnny Depp and Sweeney Todd for their Golden Globe wins in Best Actor and Best Picture! Really, I didn't care that the show was canceled...until I realized that I was being robbed of a Johnny acceptance speech! One can only hope that the Academy Awards will go on and he'll win there - surely he'll have something interesting to say. But anyway, yay!!!
