I just had a dream where I was at some kind of con or signing or something with Jensen, and he for some reason decided to come up to me and take me in a very strong one-armed full-body hug (he was very firm!) and then hold me there for like a minute. I had been eating something - I think a cream-filled donut - and I had cream all over my fingertips, which he then proceeded to lick off while the crowd screamed with a mixture of shock and jealousy.

*HIGH-FIVES SUBCONSCIOUS*

So. I was just looking at some pictures on Facebook of this particular guy I had a crush on in high school. No...crush isn't the word. I thought he was the END-ALL, BE-ALL OF HOTNESS. Like, that I would NEVER see his equal. GOD'S GIFT TO MY EYES. I could barely speak around the boy. And this wasn't a momentary thing - it lasted a good SEVEN YEARS. And since we really haven't seen each other since I graduated, I still had that mental picture.

But now? It's absolutely crazy, and kind of hard to wrap my mind around, but...he's really not that good looking. Not really at all. I mean, not ugly, but nothing special. And this is, like, paradigm-shifting for me. I feel like I can finally let go of this residual high school THING.

And you know what? I fully credit Jensen Ackles. Thanks, Jen, for opening my eyes to what was even possible in the realm of male beauty! :-D

I think Gareth would get along fabulously with the Js. I'm not sure they would know what to do with JB (particularly Jen, who seems to embarrass easily), but Gareth seems like the type of guy who would be easy to hang out with. Watching his con footage, he reminds me of them. Someone should write Gareth/boys hanging out fic.

Although I can see Misha and JB becoming fast friends and possibly taking over the universe. Perhaps those two should be kept AWAY from each other... :-)

Well, we're back home after an amazing weekend - chez_amanda and I had a fantastic time! I know she posted a very detailed con report on her journal, so I'm not going to go through every detail here. However, here are the parts that stand out to me the most - the best of the best:

- Richard showing up instead of Jake. No hate, but I LOVE the Trickster, and Richard was awesome and hilarious.

- Traci being beautiful and awesome, and casually mentioning her dominatrix phase. I want her back on the show!

- Alona being super-sweet. I wish they'd let her play Jo more like herself - that would have been much better than the scripted character, and I think she kind of agrees.

- Traci calling her mom and Aldis calling his girlfriend. Adorable!

- Getting to ask Misha a question and actually have a little conversation with him during his panel.

- Getting to talk to Misha AGAIN during autograph signings, and having his face about six inches away from mine. Surreal!

- Jared and Jensen being incredibly nice during the whole process. I loved that they came out after the autograph session to apologize about being so rushed (and yeah, it was SUPER rushed compared to the others). They seemed at ease and friendly and gracious and humble during all of it, and I REALLY appreciate that.

- Meeting other fans and seeing how awesome 99% of our fandom really is - even the 1% of crazy kept it reined in for the most part.

- Winning a round of Supernatural trivia! I had a great time spending the $250, all on autographed pics of celebs from other cons. Obsession pays off!

- Rob being all adorable and nervous, it being his first con, and Misha texting him good luck.

- Coming out of the whole experience with renewed love and respect for the show as well as its cast and crew. The whole weekend was very warm and loving - I hope the celebs felt it as much as we did!

- Basically, just a wonderful weekend all the way around. I would absolutely recommend it to anyone who gets an opportunity to go!

Baby, I just want you to be happy. You absolutely deserve it, in any form, because you have brought so much joy into my life and the lives of many others.

Though you should be aware that I will never stop shipping you with a certain someone. Never ever ever!

PS: I apologize in advance for the wank. We all know it's coming, and it's going to suck. I wish we could be more like the Fedal fandom - we mostly just awwed over the news and wrote lots of awesome!consenting!wife fic when one of our pairing got hitched - but we're not. Don't worry. It'll pass, and your true fans will still be here afterwards.

So...watching S4 of Smallville is WAY more exciting when I'm actually paying attention to Jensen's character. I can't believe that I didn't really notice him the first time around. All I can think is that almost all of his scenes are with Lana, and she makes my brain shut down with boredom.

Now, though...I just about scream “Jenjen!” every time he's on screen. I've also constructed an elaborate headcanon where Jason is actually Dean under a spell - something that forces him to slavishly worship Lana, probably - and Sam is frantically searching for him, tracing him to Paris and eventually to Smallville.

Also, when Sam shows up and meets Clark and Lex - who are going through one of their periodic breakups at this point in the show - interesting parallels get drawn between Sam/Dean and Clark/Lex, and they all help each other realize who they should really be with. And maybe there's an orgy or two. Because, yeah? HOT.

I should totally write that.

Also, epic Amazonfail is massively angrymaking. We'd better get a fucking apology.
