What the fuck is up with all the Pirates hate? Every time I see a post about the fourth movie, I'm like YAY and all the comments are like GTFO. Apparently everyone thought the third movie was shitty, which I just don't understand. That movie was PERFECT. I was THRILLED when I left the theatre that day, and I still am. IDGI.
Hottest Fictional Characters

Hottest In Fiction
1. Choose ten fictional characters, male or female, (or ten of each, or any assortment,) that you consider "hot".
2. Find a picture to demonstrate their hotness.
3. Explain...if you like. Sometimes hotness can't be defined in words.
4. Pass it on! Share the sexiness...the internet could be a more beautiful place!
Ok, I couldn't narrow it down to ten...so you get 20! I ranked them the best that I could, but except for perhaps the top five, the rest are basically a tie. It was SO HARD leaving out real people! I never realized I shipped so much RPS. I also couldn't always decide on just one picture, so this is QUITE IMAGE-HEAVY.
You're also going to hear quite a lot of blatant sexual talk, so just be warned.
( On to the hotness! )
Fun facts about my list!
Characters who are anti-heroes or villains: 12/20
Characters who are much, much older than myself: 6/20
Characters who have dark hair: 14/20
Characters who I would define as snarky: 12/20
Characters who have definite sadistic tendencies: 8/20
Characters who I read most often paired with other men: 16/20
Characters originating in books: 3
Movies: 2
TV shows: 11
Comics/Manga: 3
Video Games: 1
Yeah, I just spent way too much time on that...

The Giant List Of Crack
Sep. 24th, 2008 12:24 amI'm almost embarrassed to be making this list, but I'm going to do it anyway.
Sometimes, when I've had a bad day, I like to go on YouTube and listen to the craziest music I can find. It's usually accompanying anime fanvids, which really only makes it better. There no pick-me-up better than some good crack!
And thus, for future reference, my list of crazy, cracked-out, feel-good music - now with links!
( 31 songs under the cut... )
I'm even weirder than you thought, right? Yeah. I know.

Drabble Meme
Jul. 11th, 2008 06:08 am1. Pick a character, pairing, or fandom you like.
2. Turn on your music player and put it on random/shuffle.
3. Write a drabble related to each song that plays. You only have the time frame of the song to finish the drabble; you start when the song starts, and stop when it’s over. No lingering afterwards!
4. Do ten of these, then post them.
I didn't pick a particular fandom, just went with whatever came to mind. These are entirely unedited, so they're a bit rough. This is purely what came out of my head and onto the page. I've included bits of lyrics for those unfamiliar with the songs.

Jul. 6th, 2007 02:16 amSo I think I've decided that the best way to ship the Pirates fandom is just to pair everyone with everyone else. Because, come on, look at the possiblities: Jack/Elizabeth, Jack/Will, Jack/Barbossa, Jack/Norrington, Jack/Tia, Barbossa/Elizabeth, Barbossa/Will, Barbossa/Tia, Will/Tia, Elizabeth/Tia, Elizabeth/Norrington, Jack/Will/Elizabeth, Jack/Will/Norrington, Jack/Will/Barbossa, Jack/Barbossa/Elizabeth...it goes on and on! I'd read ANY of that, no kidding (though my recent faves are Barbossa/Elizabeth and Barbossa/Jack - both very, very nice!). *loves fandom SO MUCH!*

May. 3rd, 2007 09:07 amI just have to say that the Sparrabeth people are NUTS. Yeah, I ship Jack/Liz too, but you don't have to be CRAZY about it! I wish they had never hinted at making that ship canon. That's what fanfiction is ABOUT, people - doing something that WASN'T in the original material! Those of us who shipped J/E after CotBP know and understand this. We picked up on hints, clues, subtext - things that inspired our imaginations, that we could play with and manipulate. Personally, I'd rather ship subtext than canon, thanks very much. So I've taken Sparrabeth off my friends list, because I am sick and tired of seeing them whine about how the world's going to end if they don't get "their ending." Seriously. I wish they would just calm the fuck down. *sigh*
LOOK, I WROTE SOMETHING!!! *GRIN*
Title: And Beyond
Author: Sulwen
Rating: PG, for references to non-con.
Pairing: Elizabeth/Jack, Elizabeth/Barbossa.
Summary: How far will Elizabeth go? DMC SPOILERS AHEAD!
Word Count: 621
Author’s Notes: I am a J/E shipper all the way. In fact, I was in the middle of plotting my Jack/Elizabeth novella when this little bunny popped up and began chewing at my ankles. You know how it is. Feedback is greatly appreciated!
Disclaimer: Nothing is mine but the order of the words.

Oh my dear lord...
Jul. 8th, 2006 03:33 amPirates of the Caribbean/Princess Bride crossovers are the best thing EVER. Especially when there's slash. *grin*
Edit:
This summary makes me giggle: "Looks like the Man in Black is in for more tutelage from the Man in Black Eyeliner." *grin again*
Edit again:
If anyone wants the link: http://malisita.com/ats/pirates.html
The series at the top of the page is awesome but depressing. The stuff at the bottom is just as awesome and much more lighthearted.
