Catching Up

Watched the replays of both Vampire Diaries and Glee tonight.

Vampire Diaries is pretty much suck except for Damon, who is both pretty and evil - always a winning combination. Stefan (is that how we're spelling it?) isn't nearly as pretty, but he's still not bad to look at, and come on - hot vampire brothers. You all know how much I'm down with the incest. I might have to watch the show just for their scenes together. And it is very, very slashy already. I think fully half of Damon's lines tonight were commenting on how good Stefan looked. Apparently, CW decided that fraternal supernatural incest is a winning combination for them.

Glee was just as awesome as the first episode - funny, interesting, fast-paced. I will definitely be watching more!

I haven't watched either yet, but they're on my DVR. Stefan isn't hot enough for my liking (just from what I saw). Did you see that fandom secret about it? It's the two brothers and "I ship it already". But the show didn't look like it had much promise aside from pretty vampire boy.

I can just see that meeting. Bunch of suits sitting around with shots from SPN and Vampire Diaries and possibly Smallville.
"So... girls like when the guys make out?"

Josh Groban is going to be on the third episode (I think) of Glee so YAY!!

Ya, Vampire Diaries was a bit on the disorganized side. But Damon was full of win. I read all the books when I was in Junior High when they first came out (HOMG I am dating myself)

It seems like from the first episode at least that if the show is successful it will be because of Damon. I loved Damon in the series and I hope they keep him as badass as he is in the books.

Besides Damon with Elena is hot. It's all obsession stalkery. LOL

Yes, the girl does die and come back. What is interesting though is that if you look at the original books it said's "Vampire Diaries, a Trilogy" so here is my theory/2cents.

The whole point of the story really is that there are these two brothers that are feuding that really love each other deep down. So when Elena dies her dying wish is for the brothers to take care of each other and forgive each other. IT's the perfect ending really. But I think what happened is fandom or editor or someone complained and freaked out over Elena's death so LJ Smith (The author) brought Elena back. When this happened at the end of book 4 Damon leaves again! Book four was the sux!

Anyway's like I said the books are pretty good. I mean it's young adult so there is a childish aspect to it but LJ Smith always writes awesome bad boys (Damon is no exception) Next weeks preview looks more intriguing to me so I still am hoping it will turn out decent.

If you like Suiteverse you should try reading LJ Smith's The Forbidden Game. IT's my favorite series of hers and I know for a fact that the author of Suiteverse read and liked those books a lot (I talked to her about it) So I think she pulled some inspiration from those books.

The Suiteverse has been on my reading list for a long, long time - I'll definitely have to check it out, as well as the book you mentioned. Thanks for the rec!
