sulwen | Two more small things about SPN 4x18

1. My interpretation of Dean's "eww, gross" line was that it was gross that we were writing about it, not that it was gross in and of itself. I realize this is probably not how the line was meant to be interpreted, but it's an easy way to keep pre-4x18 Wincest fitting into canon. I'm glad to see there are a few people online who thought the same thing.

2. This is NOT how a show reacts when it doesn't like something. You know how a show reacts when it doesn't like the slash? Look at Smallville, for god's sake! Clex was the biggest thing around during early Smallville, a hugely popular ship that had everyone watching. You know what they did? They started keeping Clark and Lex apart. They gave Lana way more time. They brought in more female characters. They had the whole Lex/Lana marriage and baby storyline and totally dropped the Clark/Lex friendship that was what was so awesome about the show in the first place. THAT'S how the powers that be express dislike of fandom. NOT by giving us a friendly, all-in-good-fun shoutout during an episode. No way.
