I am making a fanvideo. This is really incredibly exciting. For the longest time, Windows Movie Maker wouldn't open on my computer. A few months ago, I had to do a complete system restore, and when I got everything up again, WMM was suddenly working. I know it's about the worst video editing software out there, but I'm not going to spend money on a hobby I haven't even tried out yet.

I hadn't really been inspired to give vidding a try until my awesome friend chez_amanda burned me a copy of a J2 fanmix she made. It had "Alone" by Heart on it. I couldn't stop listening. The song is just awesome, and I love it for the boys. So, finally, I decided that a vid needed to be made.

It was a HUGE pain in the ass getting everything downloaded, installed, and set up so I could rip, convert, and edit clips from my SPN DVDs. But, at long last, it works! I have successfully created 33 seconds of a fanvid! Yeah, WMM does indeed suck, and yeah, it's going to take me an age and a day to get through all the hours of SPN I want to take clips from. But I am SO DAMN HAPPY right now that it doesn't even matter.

Fandom is AWESOME, and getting to contribute to it in a whole new way is ESPECIALLY awesome!

Wow... this is odd synchronicity or something, because you're the second person on my flist to announce they're starting to make vids in the same week where I basically decided I had to learn to do it too!

I am pretty damn awesome aren't I? :D Since I've gotten my laptop I've been wanting to make all those fanvids I always had in mind, but never could because my computer sucks. Or maybe try to make artwork for the fanmixes I have. I just made a very gay, crackstastic mix for the boys the other day. Can't wait to see yours when it's finished :)

Someone made a point on that Clex one, they probably just took what they read in a trashy romance novel and just applied it to fic. Because, you know, boys and girls have the same parts... and ones that apparently don't exist at all.

Can't say I've ready any House/Chase. Umm... try get_house_laid, they have just about anything you could think of as far as House fic.
