So I have an interview at Borders tomorrow. I'm not planning on leaving my current job, but there are only so many hours in a week I can stand waiting tables, and I need money. Books are my great passion in life, and I've always wanted to work around them. The only thing that's stopped me in the past is the simple fact that you make so much more money as a server. This time, though, I really hope they hire me. I would love to be doing something different for a change, something that doesn't involve food, even at a pay cut. And being in bookstores always makes me happy anyway. So we'll see how that goes.

I wanted to watch some older SPN tonight. It's odd...season three has some of my favorite episodes (Mystery Spot FTW!), but most of the season is pretty bad. I'm kind of glad I didn't start watching week to week until season four started. Bad episodes hurt far more when you're watching them on TV rather than on a DVD. I ended up watching Hollywood Babylon and Folsom Prison Blues, two of my favorite "gimmick" episodes - meaning they have very little to do with the show's core mythology, but are still really fun simply because of where they take place. Sam and Dean on a movie set! Sam and Dean in prison! How could you not love that?

I mostly spent both episodes staring at Jensen's mouth. I think my obsession is starting to border on scary. But good god, those lips are absolutely unreal. Angelina's got nothin' on you, Jen. Seriously - hers are gross. Yours are heaven-sent. No wonder you get written giving so many blowjobs!

I don't know about chain bookstores, but I worked in an indie bookstore this summer and it wasn't that much about the books (at least not for anyone except the owner or whoever was in charge if she wasn't there). There was some selling books to people, but there was a lot more dusting and sweeping and cleaning the store bathroom and filing things. And, from what I've seen of customer service at the chain bookstores in my area, the employees aren't really required to interact with the customers at all except at the cash register. I'm not trying to talk you out of working at a bookstore, I'm just trying to... warn you, I guess, since it bothered me most before I'd gotten used to the idea that I was a minion, not a Guide Into The Wonderful Realm Of Literature.

I get what you mean, but seriously - just to be away from food will make me happy! Also, I have this weird thing where I get happy just from being in the same room as books. Yeah...like I said...weird. I don't really even have to be touching them, just near them.
