So tonight was my restart of the South Beach Diet. I've had success on this plan before, and I'm determined to stick with it this time around. I saw some recent pictures of myself a few days ago, and I was shocked - shocked - by what I saw. My mental image of myself is clearly thinner than reality. Therefore...here we go again.

I considered starting a new journal to talk about this, since I know from experience that other people's diet journals are just about the most boring things ever. But I like keeping everything pretty much in one place. So instead, I'm just going to tag all the food-related entries "SBD" and put everything under a cut. That way, you can just ignore it if you'd like.



I suppose I could say that I started at dinner tonight, but I think I'm just going to call tomorrow the official Day One.

Tonight's menu:

Mixed field greens with tomato, a bit of gorgonzola, and Italian dressing
Turkey pepperoni and 2% cheddar cheese
Dill pickle spear
Large glass of 1% milk

Water: 1 bottle (LAME - must do better on this tomorrow!)

I might have a SF Jello before bed, if I stay awake long enough to want it.

I used to do SBD, and I had success on it too, but lately I've prefered the weight watchers plan. I'm familiar with the SBD philosophy though, so good luck with phase 1!! If you can make it through those two weeks, you can get through anything!
