Why is it suddenly a bad thing to suggest policies based on European ideas? Someone explain to me how this is bad!

I could oversimplify and say that people are just stupid.

There's some strange Europe-phobia (well, just a general xenophobia from a lot of conservatives). I'm not sure why. There's nothing wrong with Europe. And you know me, I'm one of those horrible people that actually like the French. They have some good ideas and they've been around a lot longer than our country, so it comes from lots of years of wars and other kinds of country-shaping events.
Maybe they're scared of all that crazy, European sex ;)
