ETA: Just found out that the girl who read the podfic I'm currently listening to is from New Zealand, and that's what that fabulous accent is! *loves*

Podfic? It's basically fanfiction in audio form. Some lovely fan makes a recording of a fic they like and posts it as a download. The one I'm in the middle of now is long (maybe five hours or so?) and life-changingly good. The fic itself is amazing, but the reader is absolutely beyond awesome, and the emotions are far more intense than they would be in text form. And that's saying something. I'm going to be crying by the end of this one - I can tell already.

Well that's cool. It's like audio books, but fic. SOunds like a good way for anyone who is blind and wants to read fic as well.

I've toyed with podfic myself... There's a couple of files on Audacity I've been playing with. I don't know if I'll ever post any, though.
