Once the plates were cleared away, Donna took Jared into the living room and brought out the baby pictures. Jensen groaned when he saw the baby blue album with his full name in fancy script on the cover. Each of the kids had one, Mackenzie's was the one in pink even though she hated the color now. Not wanting to pass up on the fun, Mackenzie took a seat next to her mother and Jensen stayed on Jared's side. The pages were full of pictures of Jensen as an infant and the subsequent baby, toddler, child and teenage photos with random clippings that related to each stage.
"I bet he got away with a lot," Jared said, looking at a picture of a five year old Jensen smiling innocently at the camera.
"Yep, he pretty much did, until Mackenzie came along. Being the baby and the girl has its perks in a family," Donna said and winked at her daughter.
"Yeah, it was the same with my baby sister," Jared told her and turned to his thoroughly embarrassed boyfriend. "You were so cute!"
"Yeah, yeah," Jensen groaned.
Donna put them away once they had finished up the high school pictures, including the slightly awkward prom pictures with his best friend, Sarah. They had spent most of middle school and high school together. Sarah had been the first one Jensen came out to and she told him that she had always known he was gay. He remembered telling her that he had wished she would’ve told him that in the first place.
