OMFG YOU GUYS. HOW AMAZING IS OUR SHOW??? *IS NOT WORTHY OF THE AWESOMENESS THAT IS SPN*
DITTO EVERYTHING EVERYONE ELSE HAS ALREADY SAID. ONE OF THE BEST EPISODES EVER. I LAUGHED SO HARD MY STOMACH HURT AFTER.
FAVORITE PART: THE INTRO BY FAR. I NEED THAT RUNNING ON REPEAT IN MY HEAD NOW PLEASE!
I am ALL ABOUT the Trickster being Gabriel. The Trickster is one of my very favorite supporting characters - "Tall Tales" and "Mystery Spot" are two of my very favorite episodes, along with this one - and I LOVE bringing him back in a recurring role. Also, the actor playing him rocks my world. He manages to get all the serious business "angels and demons" exposition out without making it sound hokey, for which I love him forever. I hope we see much more of him!
About the boys killing each other: I absolutely LOVED Gabriel pointing out to them how they're ALREADY playing those roles - they just haven't fully accepted them yet. I LOVE how it's always been Sam and Dean, since the beginning of time. I LOVE how the whole show is basically a huge red herring - we THINK we're watching the boys because they're hunters, but REALLY we're watching them because they're destined to play out the end of the world. We've been watching a show about the apocalypse since the beginning - we just didn't know it yet.
I honestly think the show will end with the boys killing each other. They'll go out in a blaze of glory, fighting side-by-side to the end. I've thought this for a long time, and this episode just reinforced that belief. And I am totally fine with that. We'll see, though - from what we've seen so far, PARTICULARLY in the last two seasons, I have absolute faith in Kripke. I can't wait to see how it turns out!
