sulwenBlogging as I go during my second watch. My first viewing was too emotional to properly comment on. And yes, I know that makes me a bit too invested. I'm willing to live with that.
Ok, is it just me or was that shot of Dean at the end of the recap NOT IN LAST WEEK'S EPISODE? Because it was really, really pretty.
I APPROVE OF SHIRTLESS SAM.
I ALSO APPROVE OF SAM'S TATTOO. YAY!
I...really don't care about Jess or the girl playing her. Sorry. Totally not blown away, as many seemed to be...
However, the use of words like "semantics" always makes me a happy, happy girl. Yay vocab!

Jesus CHRIST. If I didn't ship Sam/Dean so fucking hard, I would be going nuts over all this Dean/Castiel slashiness. As it is...I enjoy it, but my OTP-ness in this fandom is just too strong to really ship them. Though I'll still totally read it. It's actually really weird, because I'm not the OTP type in any other fandom - usually, I'll ship everyone/everyone. Those boys do something to you, I swear.

I would watch a Dean and Castiel sitcom. They make me laugh. Misha is awesome, and I love it when Jen gets to show off his comedic side.
I hadn't even thought about it being damaging to the vessel, hosting something so powerful. Hmm...that makes me reconsider what I want to happen this season.
Who ARE all these contacts on Sam's phone? He doesn't call anyone but Dean and Bobby, ever! Also, SADFACE at looking at Dean's number and not calling him. I don't care if we've seen it before - it's still sad!

I disagree with that "no one has ever done anything so bad they can't be forgiven" bullshit. That just plain isn't true. Some things, you don't come back from.
I'm actually not a fan of the guy playing Rafael. He has weird eyes. But whatever.
Ok, so not to be nitpicky here, but they knew Rafael was coming how, exactly? I feel like we missed a scene...
I liked the soundtrack here - very movie-ish. The storm effects seemed really loud compared to the voices, though.
Watching Sam get force-fed demon blood was a really deeply emotional moment for me, and I'm not sure why. I felt like I'd been punched in the gut, hardly breathing with my hands clasped over my mouth in shock. It hurt.
On a lighter note, watching him kick ass is always fun, and helped pull me out of the episode and into real life again.
Dear GOD, Sam looks really hot when he's all sweaty and growly and blood-covered.
ADORE the callback to season one. I want JDM!
Ok, now here I'm going to rant. If you watched that last scene in the Impala and took what Dean was saying at face value, I'm going to lose some respect for you. Come on. We're CLEARLY meant to think Dean isn't being honest - not with himself, not with Castiel, and not with the audience. He doesn't look happy, he doesn't sound happy, and Castiel doesn't believe him. He's in denial, people. They're hitting us over the head with it. And if you don't see that, I'm kind of wondering how much attention you're even paying.
SO much love for that last scene with Sam and Lucifer. I love love LOVE Sam as Lucifer's vessel, probably because I have such a thing for evil!Sam.
Man, everyone brought their acting chops tonight. Jen and Misha were funny and perfect together, and Jared - I can't believe how much he's improved as an actor. He made me cringe in some of the early episodes, but I thought he did a fantastic job tonight. Awesome to see!
Is it too much to ask for Michael!Dean, Lucifer!Sam, and God!John? Because if that's where we're heading, I will be singing this show's praises for the rest of my life, simply for how beautiful the parallelism is.
I can't WAIT for next week! Can you believe that I totally missed the "orgy" line the first couple times I watched it? Didn't get it until I saw people talking about it in other episode reactions. I blame the extreme hotness of evil!whitesuit!Sam.
Show is three out of three for good episodes this year, at least for me personally. Keep it up, boys!
