- The Mirador by Sarah Monette 5/5
- Wicked Gentlemen by Ginn Hale 4/5
- Transformation by Carol Berg 4.5/5
- The Phoenix by Ruth Sims 4/5
Really lovely gay love story written, as the back of the book says, in "the best traditions of Victorian Literature." I adored both characters and the writing style was quite good. My only complaints are that I wish there had been a little more description of their intimate relationship, and that my copy of the book was missing a 15 page chunk toward the beginning. Otherwise, a really moving read that had my heart racing - literally - at times.
