So do we have thoughts on how Adam reacts when Tommy does try to take the initiative? He always seems very surprised to me, and generally backs away, laughing or smiling yes, but putting a very definite end to the action. Is it because he's just such a control freak when it comes to the show, you think?
I don't think it's so much control freak, but definitely because he's the one running this show. Maybe it's a line.. like it's who he wants to be on that stage in front of everyone. The one who calls the shots and makes his pretty bassist weak in the knees.
And remember that time Tommy licked his shoulder and he was like "don't do that! I'm sweaty and gross!" Um, obviously he doesn't think you're gross, dude. And I hardly see Adam as one of those people who insists on showering before they have sex every time. But Adam had an instinctive unsettled feeling from it, and interpreted it as ...but that's gross.
