I wanna talk about sub!Tommy, and Twitter is confusing with all the different threads of conversation.

Tommy reminds me of Jessica Simpson for some reason.
Yeah, I know, but hear me out. Remember when she had the reality show and everyone thought she was so dumb? So dumb she was laughing her ass all the way to the bank and international stardom.
I mean, here he is - he's pulled ahead in the music industry, which is really fucking difficult to do. He's making steady, probably decent money. He's making contacts, networking, his name is now out there in the industry, he's got cred and experience. And people think he's dumb?
Yeah. How, exactly? Maybe he's not book smart or whatever (for all I know he really is), but he's savvy. he's savvy as fuck

Yeah, it's that underground rocker image he's trying to project. And possibly the emo-boy deal, too. That selectivity is a huge part of those kind of scenes. Emo boys would jam a blunt pencil through their hand if it would get Pete Wentz or Gerard Way's approval, and they'd do the same thing to make the jocks at school hate them. It's an attempt to form an Us and a Them, to make sure you have an ingroup.
It stands out here because pop people don't have to do it as much, they just want as many people as possible to like them. You have to get as many radio spins as possible, climb to the top of the charts. And of course also because Adam's gay, he doesn't have to create an artificial in-group. Which would be very attractive to Tommy's desire for an in-group. I wouldn't be surprised if that's what caused emo to pick up traditionally gay mannerisms. I mean, every member of MCR is straight except I think Frank once had a crush on Gerard, and they embraced queerness so strongly they alienated themselves from the pop punk scene, which already has the Us/Them set up!

I don't think it's so much control freak, but definitely because he's the one running this show.
Maybe it's a line.. like it's who he wants to be on that stage in front of everyone. The one who calls the shots and makes his pretty bassist weak in the knees.

And, I didn't quite get ALL the implications until you spelled them out, and then I had to say "yes, that's true"!

And then there are the times when Adam pushes the hair away from his face, but more often then not, you see Tommy either flip his hair away or move it aside with his finger right before the kiss or no kiss moment. For once I'd like to see Adam try to make it a no kiss night and Tommy just grab him by the necklaces and lay one on him. But... he won't. :) Because he knows what Adam does when he initiates things. When he bit his arm, Adam pulled back like he was on fire... the licking of the face, he turns for a split second like "omg what are you doing?" Tommy kissing his cheek you can see a split second of panic on Adam's face. Adam hates not being in control so bad, but I think it's a combination of LIKING being in control and being afraid of losing control.
And when things get a little out of control for the both of them, they laugh. And sometimes not because it's terribly funny.

I love how easily Tommy just rolls with this. I mean, I really don't think it was planned, and yet it's not awkward at all, just flows perfectly. <3

I think it's both. When Tommy jumps the gun and moves in too fast he always shoots a nervous look to the audience. I also genuinely think he likes to be kissed and just like when the crowd gets 20CB or WLL we feel we've performed our adoration well enough so our dom (Adam) is giving us our just due. Adam just makes people want to please him. lol

Thank you! I love this fandom because these are the types of conversations I end up having with fellow fans while driving back for 2 hours at midnight after a show. In between UNFing at Adam, of course, but there's legit thinky things here.
