I agree so hard with this whole comment, particularly about how Tommy glows when Adam's paying attention to him. He never looks more beautiful.
I feel like I always see a little bit of sadness at the end of the Fever sequence, kiss or not...like it's something he's been waiting for, looking forward to, and now it's over and he has to wait again.

Lol, late here, I feel, but I wanna just jump in with a few things. For one, isolde, I have a thing for the hair-pulling too. Someone pulls my hair and my eyes close and its like, whooooa. No faking. I think for tommy to be having the reaction he does means he's into it. That alone isn't sub-proof though, so we can look at the other stuff. Eg, the knees buckling, the glances, the tiny touches.
I know I've seen you talk about this before, and it really is kind of shockingly amazing, isn't it? I mean, Tommy's never gonna be able to escape that image, not now. And he seems so very, very cool with it. I love that boy.

I agree, I think the old Tommy was the mask and he was not happy. How many times has he said he is living his dream come true now?
I still think there is a lot more to Tommy than meets the eye. He likely has more depth than we give him credit for, but also he seems to just be really trying to enjoy himself in his current role. He fits so well, and the chemistry with Adam, I've honestly never seen anything like it!
Also, he still gets to be a badass by just being irreverent and bucking societal norms. I think he is loving being in a position where he can do whatever the fuck he wants.

I agree. I do think there's real love there, whether they're fucking or not. And Tommy at the very least adores Adam, but in a way where he doesn't push and leaves the reins in Adam's hands. There are some nights where I felt like even when he's not necessarily happy up on that stage (like when his dad fell ill and passed away) he draws a lot of comfort from Adam's presence.
Adam is such this huge, all-encompassing presence...I think you're probably right with that one. I certainly hope they take comfort in each other. It's not the easiest thing they're doing here, after all.

I love everything in this comment. Every word. Perfectly stated.
There is always that little secret smile after the kiss, that we only see on super slow mo gifs. And like I said on twitter... Adam is an actor, Tommy is not. So, I mean, are they putting on the kiss for the audience? Yes. But Tommy's reaction is genuine. He's not like Adam... strutting away licking his lips like a sexgod. He's just there, a split second grin of affirmation and satisfaction that we see right before his hair flops down in his face again. But Tommy always puts himself in a position for a kiss regardless of what Adam does. He makes sure his face is accessible. He moves his hair out of the way. It's the little things that are so telling.
There is also the laughing/giggling factor which is a whole other ballgame and discussion. :) Tommy is a very interesting dude.

I do think that people don't give Tommy enough credit. I've seen people describe him as ditzy, but dude, he basically stans Bill Maher. That's not really something a ditzy person would get passionate about. Maybe it's his accent, or how laid-back he is so much of the time, but yeah, deeper than he lets on.
Speaking of dream come true, I'm so excited for them to go international. I hope they get at least a little bit of time to see the countries they visit - what an amazing opportunity for all of them!

I'm not interested in the accouterments of S&M because I think they are dopey but I like the psychology of it: "going under" "being in the right headspace" "safe words" etc... I think of actualfax Tommy as someone who enjoys the novelty of having a larger more dominant person to make out with that he has in Adam. Whether they get drunk and for real make out or just keep it to the show I think he enjoys it. I also see him as a competent dom w a girl too. He makes aggressive affectionate gestures like Adam, such as throat grabbing.
Intensely so. If Adam jumped off a bridge Tommy would be over the side before he knew what was happening, there is not the slightest doubt in my mind. I wonder if that itself could be encouraged by submissive tendencies?

That's true, there's often that tiny secret little smile...and he's leaned to make his lips very accessible for Adam. I remember one outdoor show where he was just trying so hard to get the hair out of his face, but the wind was blowing and he couldn't. It was adorable.
It probably is very novel, isn't it? I hadn't really thought about that, but especially considering how Tommy's so obviously a cuddler...I can see how he could just enjoy the sensation of a larger person to cuddle.
ADORES <--- is a great word to describe it. and when someone you adore pays you attention, you bask in it. which is what he does. I think Adam is a comforting presence in general, because he's generally very level headed and balanced. (unless he's attacking paps lol) I'm pretty sure Tommy has said on CAMERA that he thinks that Adam is one of the most amazing people he has ever met (paraphrased) so it's almost like he just wants secure his place in Adam's Amazingness.(lol adams amazingness)

So do we have thoughts on how Adam reacts when Tommy does try to take the initiative? He always seems very surprised to me, and generally backs away, laughing or smiling yes, but putting a very definite end to the action. Is it because he's just such a control freak when it comes to the show, you think?
