Yes exactly, I find that's a big issue at the moment. People making these sweeping generalisations about entire swathes of fandom based on a couple of crays >.< It's frustrating and it's making it go from fandom wank to people getting their feelings hurt because of personal comments.

I'm really glad you wrote this post though, it's so nice to see it all laid out right! Totally agree with all your points, just wish certain people could see it that way too.
